Way to Success- Building Healthy and Genuine Relationships

Way back in our school texts, we had read that the historic man started living in groups to socialise and feel secure. The Greek philosopher Aristotle referred to ‘man’ as a social animal, who cannot live as  ‘man’ without society. Components of Healthy Relationships   We need personal connect and support. Relationships of blood and friendships give meaning  to our lives and add beauty to our existence. Building relationships in our personal and professional life is an essential component of our existence. In fact, the use of signs and symbols for the purpose of communication and later evolution of language also took place because of this need to socialise, as we needed to build relationships and live together. Why is it important to build healthy relationships? 1. Relationships form the essence of our survival . We are born weak and vulnerable. Way to Success – Practical Thinking Skills

Lately, I have been reading about philosophy and life. In the past whenever I have read philosophy or studied it as a part of my college curriculum, I have always felt that it is impractical to apply it to the real world. Most ideas that thinkers shared were applied by them in a context and may be relevant to those times, but would not apply to current human circumstances. Recently, I came across an online program on 'success-practical lessons', and it changed my views on the application of philosophy to a certain extent. I read about some thinkers and some impressive and influential personalities who carved their niche in this world with their ideas of life and their inspiring actions. Here, I will refer to my learnings and how I see its application to our lives. Certainly, I attempt to make this blog a paradigm shift for us. Bruce Lee 1. The ‘new normal’ has become such a trending term I have come across in the past few months. Many writers, authors, columnist, speakers, are talking about the ‘new normal’. What is this ’new normal’? What are the behaviour trends that define the ‘new normal’ for us? These questions made me think of the habits and behaviours which people follow in these times of lockdown.  Changes in the world Yet, the behaviours which people follow are results of the circumstances and situations which they have faced. Some of these I have outlined here: The   consumer’s buying behavi

Everything begins with a thought.. Change your thought, change your result…

Our Thoughts         They say life happens to you when you are too busy planning. We come across many circumstances daily, which are not generally totally in our control. We may get a positive result and feel good about the circumstance or we may get a negative or no so good outcome and feel bad and low about them. However, it is important to know that we are day in and out, going through various sets of circumstances. Yes true, we are responsible for where we are, who we meet and how we behave at most times. But there are still many things which are beyond our immediate control and that also we would never be able to change it.  Let me throw some examples here. A rushed morning, you get stuck in traffic, you have a meeting scheduled at work, you have no choice of changing your route, you are already late by a few minutes. Another example, you have always been a high performer at work and recently a new software was introduced to your team. Your colleagues get the hang of it quic
