 Have you ever felt a deep sense of emotional connect when someone is narrating a situation? Did you ever relate a personal story to an issue your friend,teacher, parent or trainer is narrating? I'm sure we face such feelings multiple times in our daily life. Learning occurs when we listen to life experiences of others. Listening is a powerful mind tool. Research suggests that we remember around 25 to 50 percent of what we have heard.  A great deal of material is available on storytelling and learning how to do it better, in today's times. Adults learn from each other everyday through stories. So we are actually storytelling in our everyday lives, always. We have stories at workplace, in webinars, in classrooms, in training rooms, even the media, always, tells us a story. By story I do not mean pure fiction. For all those who have lost their jobs in the pandemic, for all those who are suffering from COVID 19, for all those who have lost their family or friends to this disease, for all those who are facing salary cuts. For all those who are struggling to get their basic necessities home, for those who are facing the anxiety of an uncertain future, for those who are facing psychological issues staying at home or the threat of being exposed to the virus at the workplace. After a brief period of respite from the lockdown, the nasty virus has again taken the world with an awful spell of a series of positive COVID 19 cases. There must be not one human on this planet who has not been affected either directly or indirectly with this global crises. While, I feel most of us are going through tough times, at the same time we have changed and made adjustments to our routine to suit the ‘new normal’. The ‘new normal’ has become such a trending term I have come across in the past few months. Many writers, authors, columnist, speakers, are talking about the ‘new normal’. What is this ’new normal’? What are the behaviour trends that define the ‘new normal’ for us?
