This has been long due. I have been so so occupied. But I love to write. Love to express my thoughts. Like to share my views with my readers. My love for writing gives me happiness. And yes, very true, today I am writing my thoughts on happiness. I have been hearing a lot about work-life imbalance recently. In some way, I realise that I am experiencing the same also. Work from home is getting more hectic, than work from office. Defined work hours, interaction with colleagues, break times, meal times, chai pe charcha, many such elements were actually de-stressors. Work from home has become boundary-less in so many ways, extending work hours indefinitely is one boundary which is broken. To top it all we have parents, spouses, children who demand our attention too. The instability of job markets has also made people work harder than usual in their existing job roles. Step back and look inward for confidence Recent events of celebrity suicides, teens taking extreme steps in a bet or truth and dare game, and people playing blue whale to take stupid dare and stunts which risks their lives. These have forced my mind to raise the question, How precious is life for us? Here, the question is not of the life of others. That is far. But it is the question of our own life. The fetus spends nine months in the mother's womb, to fight all odds and have a life in this world. Every mother takes extreme pain to give birth, with the hope of having a healthy child. It takes years of love, nurturing, caring, learning, time, energy, responsibility and most of all patience to bring up a child. It is a mammoth task to develop a value system, get education, employment, settle in life, fulfil your duties and above all realise your dreams. For all those who have lost their jobs in the pandemic, for all those who are suffering from COVID 19, for all those who have lost their family or friends to this disease, for all those who are facing salary cuts.
