Are You The Champion For Change?
Starting a new business? Getting settled in a new job? Adjusting in a budding relationship? Still figuring out work from home even after a year up for it? Any of these...Difficult, is it? However prepared you are to make the shift in your life smooth sailing, you are bound to have initial hicups in any change you want to make.
Change, however, is inevitable. No matter how much we try to keep our life in control, the truth is you are never in complete control. Some amount of ambiguity is always tagging around. Ambiguity is in all or some areas of our lives. So its the ambiguity that troubles and not the change itself.
It's said that 'Its a matter of time that you settle down with the new way of life.' How you think and feel about change, will determine your reaction to change and subsequent effect on your life.
What if we see 'change' in a positive and productive context? It is natural to get daunted with what is new. At times, even minor changes like a change in routine or daily ritual gets us all hassled. So can we consciously monitor our thought when we face change? We can look at the larger picture and benefits which occur due to the change.
Covid has brought us much woe, but at the same time, good examples of humanity are being displayed by countless. A recent news of a Bangalore based school, converting its school bus into a mini hospital with seats converted into beds and oxygen supply facility is doing the rounds.
Another news of auto drivers converting their autos into ambulances with oxygen supply faculty to save lives is so heart-touching.
Yes, it's true, that the office spaces have ramped down, work from home has been the new normal for more than a year now, but we get to spend more time with family around. In these tough times, we have also realised the extent to which we can leverage technology to almost all aspects of our lives.
Millions have been saved by organisations who do not have to pay rent of huge offices. Instead they could pay bonuses and incentives to their employees to encourage them in these difficult times.
While I travel to work daily, I listen to RJs narrating positive and uplifting stories on radio. While most of the media is full of disheartening news, these positive stories makes anyone feel the spirit of humanity.
Let's all show solidarity towards this massive change which the world is going through by accepting it and looking forward to better times.
