It's Just About Moving Forward..

It's not about how far you've gone, it just that you have moved forward.

As winter approaches and the weather turns cold, snow and pine trees make their place with joy. Yes joy, there is so much of it around if you look for it. If you don't believe my words, just reflect on your life. It's just something new to look forward to at the end of the year. Many things slow down with the changing weather. We begin to focus on our family and close ones, who have brought so much to us throughout the year.

Think about the person who is most important to you in life, how has the person impacted you in this year? Think about those who raised this person with the values you admire him or her to have.

Think about that teacher you had in school or college, who made you disciplined and smart enough to face the world. Think about the mentor at your workplace, who helps you face your work challenges day in and out. Think about the coach who has been a sounding board for you and absorbed your stress to let you have a new perspective. Aren't you loving to think of all this already? I'm sure you are jogging your memory for more. Think about a person who has recently contributed to making a major shift in your life, may be emotionally or financially. Think about how lucky it is to have a family to fall back on at the end of the day. Think about all the things that you had last year this time around and the things you have right now. How far you've come. Even if you have learnt something new, made new friends, it's still a gain. Your account balance is in positive.

Think about the items that you once desired for, which has been possible to buy this year. The happiness which it has brought to you by finally being able to save for it and afford it. Isn't that amazing what this year has given you.

Finally, the world has become free from masks this year. After 2 years of COVID, and a spree of vaccination, almost every country today has lessened the COVID pateint count and we are free of masks. Return to work, meeting colleagues, working in shared spaces is all back to normal now. It does feel like we are living life by breathing free. Not like animals in a cage, like COVID times made us feel.

The mind feels warm with gratitude, that the world within us and around us has made significant progress in this year. If you can look back at your past and see how far you've come, you sure have a lot to be grateful for and a lot to celebrate in life for the progress made.

On this note, can we ring a bell and raise a toast for celebrating our collective success and happiness. Let's Celebrate that we have all Progressed!!
