A Cape of Accomplishment on My PhD Convocation Day
Today is the day I've been waiting for—my PhD convocation. It feels surreal to finally be here, wearing the coveted doctoral shawl at TISS that feels like a cape on my shoulders. I'm filled with a sense of empowerment and accomplishment, a feeling that's been years in the making.
This moment isn't just about the degree. It's a culmination of countless hours of research, writing, and perseverance. It's a testament to the resilience and determination I've developed throughout this journey. My PhD has taught me so much more than just academic knowledge. It has shaped me into a more confident, capable, and well-rounded individual.
One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is the importance of building relationships. Collaborating with others has been instrumental in my success. I've learned how to work effectively with diverse teams, negotiate deals, and foster mutual respect.
Setting and achieving goals has also been a key component of my PhD journey. I've learned to break down large, daunting tasks into smaller, more manageable milestones. This approach has helped me stay focused, motivated, and on track.
Patience and courage have been equally essential. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself. But by persevering through these challenges, I've gained a newfound strength and resilience.
Throughout my PhD, I've embraced a variety of learning styles. I've learned by watching YouTube tutorials, reading academic papers, and seeking guidance from mentors. I've also learned through trial and error, experimenting with different approaches and adapting as needed.
As I stand here today, wearing my doctoral gown, I'm filled with gratitude for the journey that has brought me here. It's been a challenging but rewarding experience that has shaped me in countless ways. I'm excited to see what the future holds and to continue applying the skills and knowledge I've gained to make a positive impact on the world.
Most of all I would like to thank my mentor my guide my Doctoral Advisory members for continuously guiding me throughout this journey I would also like to tell all aspiring PHD scholars, please be humble in your approach it is all about the way you approach people with atmos humility and ask for health that they come to help you with all their hearts.
