Reflections of 2024

What has this year brought to me? I asked myself today. It's a whirlwind of emotions of joy and tears, it's a plethora of events which are wins and losses, it's a bag full of memories of laughter and cries, and stories which I remember to take to the coming year.

After ending the year 2023 with my PhD thesis submission, I start this year with preparation for my viva, in anticipation of the feedback from my examiners. In the meantime, I dealt with a loss, which will always remain very personal, my dear aunt Dr. Katy Gandevia who was not just my aunt, but in my mind she was equal to my mother. This year also brought many family members to rekindle lost relationships, and many who served relations without a thought.

This year in May, after I received the thesis feedback from my examiners, I have defended my thesis and given viva on 16th May, and achieved the highest education and title of Dr.

During the same time I received my NLP Master Practitioner Certification, which I worked for since months.

This year I also got convocated my PhD degree at the Navroji Campus of Tata Institute Of Social Sciences in their 53rd Convocation, where I was accompanied my my husband and my family. I also got the chance to seek the blessings of my guide Prof Nasreen Rustomfram, whose guidance made this possible. I dearly missed my aunt Dr. Katy, who would have been overjoyed being there. The same day my friends and family were also watching me live on YouTube as my convocation was being live telecasted. And a story which featured in the weekly Jame Jamshed Newspaper showing my parsi friend and me at the convocation ceremony.

In October I started the Positive Intelligence Program by Shirzad Chamine. This has impacted me ever so beautifully. I have been able to work of my mindfulness and been able to call upon my sage powers for strength and awareness.

In November, I enrolled for another journey of a lifetime, my ACC course with Erickson International (XMonks). I met some wonderful batchmates in this coaching journey and learnt more than I could ever be grateful for.

On the workfront, I can did coaching all year, I held meetings with stakeholders from the business for setting up training programs, undertake trainings, build storyboards, participate in giving back to the society by mentoring people, doing CSR. I also got a chance to be a part of coaching the executive level in my organisation this year which was a fulfilling experience. My team also won the coveted award for Gen AI initiatives taken for the organisation. Super grateful for the efforts of everyone.

Countless moments, big and small which I may not be able to capture here, however captured in my heart forever.

Gratitude gratitude gratitude to the year that went by, the people who stood by, the people who left their marks on my soul and footprints in my life forever.
